Server Rules¶
These are the same rules shown in-game via /rules. Breaking them can result in a warning, mute, kick, or ban depending on severity — staff make that call, not this page.
Where these come from
This page mirrors ShinyVale's live in-game rule book exactly. If it's ever out of date, /rules in-game is always the source of truth.
General Conduct¶
No exploiting the game or the server in ways that give you an unfair advantage.
No Hacked Clients Movement mods, inventory mods, health indicators, radar, freecam, and auto-place are all banned. Vanilla client only.
No Macros or Scripts No harmful macros or automation scripts of any kind.
No Abusing Bugs Found a bug or dupe method? Report it — don't use it. See Reporting.
No IRL Trading No real-money trading, no cross-server trading, and no invite-for-reward schemes.
No Sharing Links Don't post outside links in chat.
Chat Rules¶
No Spamming Don't spam chat, and don't get others to spam it for you.
No Harassment No harassing other players. No death threats — ever, even as a "joke."
No Advertising No advertising or promoting other servers/services.
No Hate Speech No discrimination or hate speech of any kind.
No Doxxing Never share another player's private information.
No Impersonation Don't pretend to be someone else — including staff.
No Ban Evading Banned players may not rejoin on another account.
Don't Lie to Staff Be honest when staff ask you about something.

Report bugs, glitches, and cheaters in the ShinyVale Discord — staff can't fix what they don't know about.
Claim Rules¶
ShinyVale's claim system exists so you can protect your builds — not so it can be turned into a weapon against other players.
Don't weaponize claiming
You may not use /claim to troll, grief, or harass another player. That includes claiming land purely to block, obstruct, or otherwise interfere with someone else's legitimate claim.
No Claiming to Be a Menace Placing a claim purely to troll, block, or interfere with someone else — rather than to protect your own build — isn't allowed.
No Griefing Others' Claims Don't abuse claim mechanics to mess with a claim that legitimately belongs to someone else.
Normal Claiming Is Always Fine Claiming land to protect your own base, farm, or project is exactly what the system is for. Go for it.
Staff Have Final Say Whether a specific claim is legitimate or abusive is a judgment call staff make case by case.
